Yoga has opened my mind and heart. I LOVE sharing my knowledge of yoga with everyone. When I am not at a yoga studio, I work as a corporate trainer doing systems training for a global company. Kate Goodyear

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

…and one day I awoke, mid twenties, just on the other side of a harsh breakup, stressful job and feeling low. I asked if I could tag along with a friend to her yoga class and my whole life changed. I found something to look forward to, feel good about, a sense of community, peace of mind and so much more! I jumped in with both feet and was soon taking teacher training with some of the greatest teachers around, the staff at Dhyana Yoga!
My mission is to help others feel the way that my teachers helped me feel. I strive to provide my students with a practice that challenges the body, soothes the mind and revitalizes the spirit, building connection. It is very important to me that students realize that this is more than just exercise but a spiritual practice.

Sarah T Treat

Sarah's love for yoga started in college. She came to her mat looking for a way to cope with stress and relieve body aches. Sarah received her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification through Svadhyaya Teacher Training. She is also a certified meditation teacher. She loves yoga for the community it builds, and for the practice's never ending learning process. Sarah truly believes everybody and every body can befit from yoga. She is a vinyasa teacher with Ashtanga and Anusara roots. In class she emphasizes breath control and alignment. Her classes are physically challenging, relaxing, and FUN! Sarah looks forward to seeing you on your mat!

Julia Paddison

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Julia found Vinyasa Yoga in early 2011 in the midst of training for a half marathon. At the time, she was in great physical shape so she was shocked at how challenging she found yoga to be. Yoga helped her to identify and heal several pain causing injuries which resulted in a much more enjoyable running experience. Besides the great physical benefits yoga provides, Julia was also feeling a shift in her mind; feeling less stressed, more patient, more present, more aware, and found her mind to be generally less "chatty". It became clear that yoga was changing her life for the better.

After completing her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Dana Hot Yoga in 2012, Julia was more passionate than ever about yoga and wanted to share her love for yoga with others through teaching. As a student, Julia's teachers guided her through her practice to help her feel strong, confident, and powerful. As a teacher, Julia strives to help her students feel this way, too.

In 2015, Julia began a daily practice of Ashtanga Yoga and really developed a love for the practice. To dive even deeper into her practice, she completed a 40 hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training with David Swenson in 2016. Her personal practice heavily influences her teaching style so you will find her classes to be traditional, with a strong focus on breath and alignment,

Julia is committed to providing students with an ideal environment for them to discover the beauty and power of their own practice and their own yoga. She hopes that you will join her for a class soon!

Veronica Fitzgerald

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Veronica’s practice has evolved through out the years. Thirteen years ago, her curiosity for yoga allowed her the opportunity to explore with movement and breath. Her passion and love for the practice encouraged her to get trained to be a teacher and share this love with everyone.

Today her practice is more spiritual and has helped her find a better balance in her life.
As a mother of three, wearing many different hats in one given day, yoga and mediation allow her to stay grounded and present.

She loves to try all different types of yoga styles, exercise, spend time with her family and make her delicious V-Empanadas.

Jennifer B Borrowman

She completed her Yoga Teacher training in 2011 with the British School of Yoga, received her MA in Russian Studies from Saint Andrews University in Scotland, and her BSc in Physiotherapy from Manchester University in England.

As a Yoga Teacher, Jen's priority is for students to feel both inspired and safe as they practice yoga. Her gentle physical and verbal adjustments allow students to challenge themselves while preventing injury. The non-judgemental environment in her classes helps students to practice kindness towards their bodies. Jen teaches self-awareness, so students are empowered to discover where they need to build more strength or more flexibility. She encourages students to find patience, compassion, calm steadiness and trust in themselves, while creating space in the body and mind, and following the breath as a guide.

Ann Johnson

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

I discovered yoga in 2014 while living overseas with my family in Australia. After my first yoga class I was hooked and drawn to the physical, spiritual and mental benefits of the practice. Not long after taking part in weekly and sometimes daily yoga classes I decided that I wanted to share my knowledge of this beautiful practice with others. I received my RYT from the Australian Yoga Academy and am also certified in Yin. I have a background in Exercise Physiology and am also a Registered Nurse.

Each class I teach starts with intention setting and the class is built around that intention. Slow, mindful movements can be expected during this class along with alignment cues and awareness of breath to help guide you into a deeper state of connection. Modifications are offered in each class because every body is different. All levels are welcome and each student is encouraged to move at their own pace. My teaching style is nourishing and honest. So, you can expect a purposeful class that is lead from the heart.

The beginning of the new year is traditionally a time of renunciation, resolve and renewal. As a yearly ritual, you can take time to consider what would be skillful to your life in the coming year, make a commitment to the practice, and renew yourself in the foundation of your well-being. Join Veronica as she offers a special 60 minute all levels Gentle Yoga class to help unbind and let go of what no longer serves you and a day of silence with contemplative practices to consider how to meet the future with ease, relaxation and joy.
