VINYASA YOGA -- ALL LEVELS

This class is taught by:

Amy S Schramm

VINYASA YOGA CERTIFIED

Amy Schramm, a Lululemon Ambassador, is a registered yoga teacher with over 300 practical hours of training. She completed her teacher training out of Laughing Lotus in New York City, studying directly under Dana Flynn and Jasmine Tarkeshi. She has also completed her Yogic Arts Level One teacher training with Master Duncan Wong. In addition, she has practiced with Sharon Gannon, David Life, Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rae, Edward Clark, Naime Jezzne, Vinnie Marino, Dharma Mittra, and Kirsten Young. She has learned to incorporate different approaches to her yoga practice and her classes.

Amy believes that art, music, and a little physical exercise will cure what ails you. If you do not need a cure then just let yoga take you to that next place, where your mind is open and anything can happen. A world can change with an idea, a color, a word, or a new breath. There is no greater freedom than expressing yourself. Creativity is a gift and a choice. We give it to the young when we believe in it ourselves and we choose it when we realize it is what our soul calls for. Yoga should be fun. It has given her more self-confidence than anything she has ever done. It has taught her that if you try hard enough and practice, you can do anything you want to do. It's just a little commitment, some persistence and a love of what you're doing. It's that belief that she loves to share with other people. If you connect with it, it will change you for the better, forever.

Jillian Bussey

VINYASA YOGA CERTIFIED 200-RYT

Jillian found Hatha yoga in 2001 and immediately became enamored with the practice, feeling immediate, positive changes: physically, mentally and emotionally. Having studied the Humanities at Villanova University Jillian always craved to understand humans: our relation to each other, society, the world, a higher power, and of course how people consider themselves. Taking yoga practice is a similar discipline in that the focus is on connection: the physical movement and breathing is connected with the mental/emotional practice through the heart; we become more aware of ourselves and those around us. The way yoga changed her perspective led Jillian to want to share this with others. She enrolled in an Anusara-inspired yoga teacher training at Focus Fitness in Bryn Mawr, PA and became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) in 2013 and has hopes to continue on in a 500 hour training to practice Yoga Therapy this year. It is her hope that Jillian will inspire others to utilize the yoga practice to make positive strides in their own life and that they leave her classes feeling cared for and important, because every single person is important.

Kristy Mitchell

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Kristy first discovered yoga in 2006. She’d always been active in outdoor sports, so going indoors to exercise was never on the radar. After struggling with back pain for awhile, she finally decided to try yoga. She entered the studio skeptically, but left completely addicted to the practice. It wasn’t long before she was practicing three to four times per week.

Soon, she began to feel fantastic physically, lost weight, and found a sense of calm that she had been lacking. That’s when she decided she wanted to share this wonderful practice with others. Kristy believes that yoga should be challenging, yet safe and accessible for all bodies, and it’s reflected in her teaching style.

In addition to holding a 200-hour certification, Kristy is trained to teach Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga, and Yoga for Trauma and Addiction. Kristy teaches wall yoga, vinyasa, power vinyasa, and stand-up paddle board yoga. Her classes are open and accessible to all levels, with modifications offered throughout.

Veronica Fitzgerald

Veronica’s practice has evolved through out the years. Thirteen years ago, her curiosity for yoga allowed her the opportunity to explore with movement and breath. Her passion and love for the practice encouraged her to get trained to be a teacher and share this love with everyone.

Today her practice is more spiritual and has helped her find a better balance in her life.
As a mother of three, wearing many different hats in one given day, yoga and mediation allow her to stay grounded and present.

She loves to try all different types of yoga styles, exercise, spend time with her family and make her delicious V-Empanadas.

Elizabeth M. Mott

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Liz began practicing yoga at a crossroads in her life. It was the only thing that allowed her to clear her head of external noise while noticing her internal voice speak. Focusing on movement and breath not only helped her physically but helped mentally.

She was so inspired by the amazing changes in her life due to yoga that she received a YTT 200 hrs in 2015 in Paris, France, spanning over 9 months. She has since traveled to India to expand her knowledge of the practice, has taught in several countries in Europe and has received pre/post natal yoga certificate and her meditation certificate.

Her yoga classes are a combination of mindful movement, focus on breath and asana. The flows combined with a contemporary playlist make for a fun yet challenging class, and you will leave feeling more connected with you.

Vinyasa, meaning ‘flow’, merges movement with the breath. Many Vinyasa classes focus on breathing and seek to move students through a sequence of postures as the breath flows in and out. Using this breath, heat, or ‘tapas’ warms the body allowing the practitioner to move deeper into postures and eventually, deeper into their own personal practice. This class style is inherently diverse and sequencing will vary with each instructor’s personal flavor.
