Courtney Brown

Courtney lives to inspire others to realize their full potential and to be better than they were yesterday! She discovered yoga in college, as an avid long distance runner, weight lifter and gym enthusiast but regularly suffered from hip injury & pain. She was recommended yoga to not only heal her injuries, but also as a means to manage her stress levels during college. Being that she had no background in dance, ballet or gymnastics, the physical practice of yoga did not come easily to her. However; it was that afterglow effect that yoga has to release emotional, mental and physical sources of self-limitation that kept her regularly returning to the mat.
Courtney's yoga practice began elegantly showing her that a change of perspective “on her mat”, whether physical or mental, becomes a change of perspective “off of her mat” and into her world. This subtle shift made her realize that we are all capable of limitless possibilities!
As her love and dedication to yoga grew, so did her desire to share it with others. She completed her 200 hour Hatha Vinyasa certification through the yoga alliance that transformed her life deeply. It strengthened her confidence in the potential that yoga has to support life “off the mat” - in daily activities, in work as well as in relationships with people in your life! Courtney not only continues her cross-training (and is injury free) but she remains extremely dedicated to her yoga practice & continuing education; she is currently in her 500 hour Yoga & Ayurevda training with Kripalu. In her classes she strives to provide a safe, creative & fun experience “on the mat” that opens the doors for transformation “off the mat”.
Her passion for sharing her love of yoga and inspiring students to feel empowered most definitely shines through in each one of her classes.

Tiffany Pierson

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Tiffany Pierson got her first taste of yoga in 2009. After just one practice she was left with a renewed and energized feeling amidst a world of chaos that kept her wanting more of this thing called Yoga. The more she found herself on the mat the better she felt in all areas of life. Finding a passion she hadn't felt since being a child playing softball and cheerleading, Tiffany dove head first into any yoga class or workshop she could find. Wanting to further her knowledge in all things yoga and share that passion with others Tiffany completed her 200 Hour Svadhyaya Teacher Training in February of 2016. Delving even deeper into the complete yoga practice, she also completed Awaken to Stillness Meditation Teacher Training in 2016, Vipassana Fellowship Meditation Course in 2017, and Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra training in 2018. The journey of the self through yoga and meditation has made a huge impact on how she views and lives life. Tiffany feels lucky to have had the opportunity to work with yoga practitioners of all levels through public classes, private sessions, workshops, private, community and corporate events, and even internationally through yoga retreats; Helping each and every person find the strength and passion inside of themselves. With focus on awareness and engagement, along with the gentle touch of assisting, Tiffany enjoys finding new ways to help others connect with their inner strength while encouraging the physical strength and healing to support it.

Today her practice is more spiritual and has helped her find a better balance in her life.
As a mother of three, wearing many different hats in one given day, yoga and mediation allow her to stay grounded and present.

Megan discovered yoga in high school while working at a gym, and instantly fell in love. It wasn’t until
her mid-20’s that she really became a devoted yogi with a daily practice.  For Megan, yoga is all about the experience of getting to better know yourself and your anatomy. She loves finding a balance between strength and flexibility, both on and off the mat. Her classes focus on that equilibrium between exertion and release. You can expect to flow, sweat, and most importantly: breathe.
Come for her creative flows and curated playlists, stay for the deepened mind/body connection.

Ann Johnson

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

I discovered yoga in 2014 while living overseas with my family in Australia. After my first yoga class I was hooked and drawn to the physical, spiritual and mental benefits of the practice. Not long after taking part in weekly and sometimes daily yoga classes I decided that I wanted to share my knowledge of this beautiful practice with others. I received my RYT from the Australian Yoga Academy and am also certified in Yin. I have a background in Exercise Physiology and am also a Registered Nurse.

Each class I teach starts with intention setting and the class is built around that intention. Slow, mindful movements can be expected during this class along with alignment cues and awareness of breath to help guide you into a deeper state of connection. Modifications are offered in each class because every body is different. All levels are welcome and each student is encouraged to move at their own pace. My teaching style is nourishing and honest. So, you can expect a purposeful class that is lead from the heart.

In this 45 minute class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.
