YOGA, SPIN & GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR
 
Emily’s classes focus on connecting movement with breath, body and mind, and she hopes to give students the space to find their own inspiration during their practice, leaving them rejuvenated and wanting to return to yoga. Her classes encourage personal examination, and her love for the practice shines through in her ability to teach with a concrete yet creative voice. As an educator, she is inspired by all of her students and loves to watch people grow, both on and off their mats. She has taught yoga for 12+ years, and over 2,000 hours of studio, corporate, private, and athlete-centered classes.
 
Emily has been a dedicated yoga student since 2006, and is continuously surprised at the ways yoga transforms her mind and body. Yoga has allowed Emily to find balance in a fast-paced world, and to enjoy the moment rather than always trying to plan for the future. Emily has completed two, 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher Trainings, and also leads Yoga Alliance Certified teacher trainings, as well as yoga immersions, workshops, retreats and guest lecture series.
 
Emily's passion for a Yoga Sculpt class led her to begin teaching a spin/strength/yoga format class in 2023, where she completed a Spin certification, and continues to spread her wings to teach other fitness and wellness modalities.

  • Vinyasa is a style of yoga where poses are strung together to form one fluid sequence of movement. Classes are often fast-paced and rhythmical, with a focus on connecting the movements with the rhythm of the breath. Vinyasa means to move with the breath, which is essentially the core of a Vinyasa class. Often called flow yoga, Vinyasa Flow is a style of yoga with focus on transitions and movements, with less time spent in stationary poses.

  • RELAX & RESTORE (NON-HEATED)
  • "Relax and Restore" is a NEW Restorative, gentle, and meditative yoga practice, designed to promote deep relaxation and stress reduction.
     
    We will focus on calming the nervous system through passive, supportive poses held for longer durations (around 5 minutes) with the aid of props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks to fully support the body, allowing for complete surrender and release of tension. Practice will end with a body scan, breathing technique, yoga nidra, or other mindfulness tools, to create maximum restoration and relaxation throughout the mind and body.

  • VINYASA YOGA (HEATED)
  • Flow with the Rhythm of Life.
    Join us for an invigorating Vinyasa yoga class where breath meets movement in a seamless, flowing sequence. Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga that synchronizes breath with continuous movement, creating a dance-like journey on your mat.
     
    In this class, you'll experience: 
     
    Dynamic Sequences: Move through a series of poses, or "asanas," that are gracefully linked together with Sun Salutations, each transition guided by the rhythm of your breath.
     
    Mindful Breathing: Discover the power of "pranayama," or controlled breathing techniques, to enhance your practice and deepen your connection to the present moment.
     
    Strength & Flexibility: Build physical strength and flexibility through a balanced combination of both flowing and held postures.
     
    Inner Calm: Find tranquility and mental clarity as you flow through sequences designed to quiet the mind and rejuvenate the spirit.

    In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.
