Heather has been practicing yoga for 15 years. She came to the practice when her children were babies and she needed some “me” time. She credits yoga with teaching her that the body and mind are one, and that what we learn about ourselves on the mat we should take off the mat whenever possible. The practice of yoga has so much to teach us about how to live our lives, parent, exercise and breathe.
You have heard the benefits of meditation, but every time you sit down to meditate, the dog barks, your cellphone beeps, or you just can’t settle.
One of the best ways to meditate is to do it with others. We are creating a space for you to do that at Pure, because so much of what we have lost during the pandemic is connection with others. And, when we feel disconnected, we are burnt out and feel like we have less time. In this 45 minute experience, Heather will explain one aspect of meditation (chanting, chakras, etc.) or the brain science behind its effects, and then we will meditate together. No phone, no dogs, no mothers-in-law. At the end, there will be time for sharing about what came up during the silence. This is what drives the connection and belonging, and makes us more aligned with the Universe.
