Laurie Veacock

SPINNING INSTRUCTOR
 
Laurie is a Level I Spinning Instructor. After participating in Spinning and cycle classes for over 10 years, she decided to become certified as an instructor. A lifetime resident of the Philadelphia area, Laurie has taught reading and music to elementary and middle school aged children with ADHD, dyslexia, and learning disabilities for the past 20 years. When not at school or Purenergy, she enjoys singing, knitting, cooking, and crafting. She shares a home in Chesterbrook with her husband and two cats.

Kris Lubrano

Kristin Lubrano-Lobianco is a certified Nutrition Therapist, fitness instructor,
trainer, and wellness coach and has owned and operated my holistic nutrition and
wellness practice since 2018. Her wellness coaching is based on the philosophy of
supporting the body through whole foods nutrition, mindful living and movement.
She has always had a passion for educating and motivating others to reach their
health goals. She has trained with Les Mills International and completed
certifications in Body Pump, Body Combat, RPM, and Sprint. She is also a certified
Spinning instructor with Mad Dogg Athletics, and completing her personal trainer
certification with NASM. She has worked with athletes of all ages and coached them
on gaining that edge in athletic performance through the combination of nutrition
education and training.
Being immersed in an active lifestyle and her desire to be fit and share that with
others has given her a true passion for group fitness. She is driven to inspire others
to move, push themselves past their limits, improve their athletic performance, and
reach their goals
Her mission is to teach you how to achieve optimal wellness, reach your fitness
goals, and of course create a fitter planet!

Lisa M Matelwich

SPINNING INSTRUCTOR
 
Lisa is a group fitness instructor. Her passion for the Johnny G Mad Dogg spinning program has her in the saddle for 14 plus years. Her pedal peace comes from what she calls " inner shine" the flicker of light inside us all. She encourages her class to believe and trust that we can achieve our best self ....mind muscle use it to power your inner shine ... Lisa is certified in Barre as well. She encourages her class to be introspective, be kind, caring, non judging of the outside package and strengthen from within. Lisa enjoys time with her family, 3 grandchildren, swimming, weight lifting, yoga, gardening, music  hiking, and "coloring outside" the lines of life, Peas, Laugh, Ride, Squat, Zen and Repeat ... 

Samantha Perkinson

SPINNING INSTRUCTOR
 
Samantha ‘Sam’ has been active her entire life. Growing up “down the shore” her days were full of endless bike rides, long swims, and quite a few paddle outs on the trusty long board. After receiving a bachelors degree in civil engineering from Villanova University (‘07), where she trained occasionally with the Wildcat swim team, she attended her first spin class (on a whim) and was immediately hooked! Coincidentally she met her husband the same year and it seems that both passions stuck! After the birth of her first child in 2012 she felt a little overwhelmed with motherhood and turned her focus to fitness, which helped clear her mind, regain her strength and become the best mom to her two young children! Ultimately her “new” favorite place became the gym, where friendships were built and becoming a certified indoor cycling instructor was naturally the next step.
She has been a certified indoor cycling instructor with Keiser and ASFA since 2015.
 
Sam will always bring excitement, a smile, and good tunes! Expect to work hard but have fun (dancing is always encouraged)! Favorite motivational cue “YOU are strong and YOU can do anything for 20 seconds!”

Alex Palanca

SPIN & STRENGTH/CONDITIONING INSTRUCTOR
 
Alex started taking spin classes in 2018 and began teaching in August 2020. With a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and love for helping others with their health and wellness, she pursued her Master's degree in Athletic Training!
 
As a licensed healthcare professional at Villanova University, her knowledge and background allows her to educate others on proper body mechanics and injury prevention. Spin classes are her favorite way to step away from the chaos her daily life and is her daily mood boost!
