Chris Somers has worked in the fitness and wellness industry for the past 28 years. She has worked as the General Manager and Director of Marketing for several privately owned facilities. She has also owned and operated her own Marketing firm. It was her dream to be able to open her own studio and offer the community the services and programs that she is passionate about.

In 2001 she was drawn to yoga for the physical benefits. She quickly realized that the more frequently she made it to her mat, the better prepared her mind and body became at responding to the challenges of daily life. Yoga has taught her about what balance means on and off the mat. Her hope is to help others discover or re-discover these wonderful benefits. Helping everyone feel a bit more connected, empowered, and energized. The offerings at Purenergy are designed to engage and reward each person, young or old, beginner or advanced.

Liz H. Helminska

AERIAL INSTRUCTOR
 
Elizabeth Helminska has always loved movement and dance. Her training in aerial silks began 3 years ago, but before this she was a ballerina for 12. Her love of silks began in an aerial fitness class, and from there she has been training in the aerial fabric, aerial hoop, tumbling, and pole. In continuing her aerial journey she has taken the Nimble Arts teacher training at the New England Center for Circus Arts as well as the Aerial Yin Yoga teacher training at Purenergy. She believes that aerial arts is for every body, age, and ability and values hard work and safety in her classes.

Maria J Johnson

HIIT/BOOTCAMP INSTRUCTOR

Maria is a Group Fitness Instructor certified in Zumba, STRONG NATION, Aqua Zumba, HIIT, Pound, Generation Pound, Body Pump (strength training), TurboKick (kickboxing),& PiYo. She's a fulltime Music Teacher and Kid Fitness Coach Gr. 1-8 at Girard College in Philadelphia, PA & a US Army Veteran/ Master Fitness Trainer. She teaches fitness classes internationally and recently traveled to the Dominican Republic, Curacao and Jamaica.

Turbo Kick® is an interval based, full body workout that begins with a sports-specific warm-up. High-paced intervals follow with kickboxing-specific strength/endurance training sequences and easy-to-follow combinations. Class ends with a mind/body-like (think Tai-Chi) cool-down.
