The physical benefits of yoga lured her to the mat in 1999 Not only did yoga transform her body; it transformed her mind and spirit. Little did she know that her yoga practice would play a huge part in her journey through breast cancer and into survivorship. Her practice has helped her grow stronger, more flexible and fearless - both on and off her mat.

Kathy is a graduate of the Verge Yoga teacher training. She has also trained with Erica Bleznak, Simon Park, Rolf Gates and Ed Harrold. Healthy breathing, alignment, and balanced energy flow are the focus in her classes. Her teaching style brings humor, support and a non-judgmental attitude to her class.

Kathy lives in Havertown with her husband Steve, sons Steven and Michael.

My passion for fitness began over 20 years ago, after staying home with my first son and realizing I needed time for myself! I began taking yoga classes once a week to add to my fitness routine. At first, it was solely for the physical practice but I slowly began to realize it was so much more. In 2014, I found healing on my mat as I struggled with a devastating health diagnosis. During treatment I put all other fitness routines on hold and solely came to my mat. It was at this time that I realized just how much more yoga was than a physical practice. I found peace and comfort on my mat while still being challenged. I realized the time spent on my mat brought strength, calmness and helped clear my mind. I knew I wanted to deepen my practice and share this with others
26 & 2, commonly known as “Hot Yoga”, is a Hatha style yoga practice with a set sequence.

Consisting of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, this slow moving series has a concentrated focus on the breath and alignment where poses are repeated twice with longer holds, allowing the practitioner to build balance between strength and flexibility.

With a combination of standing and floor poses, this class provides a wide range to work the body inside and out.

This all levels class will take a detailed approach to breath work, postures and alignment.
