Carina Wulff

YOGA INSTRUCTOR
 
Carina grew up immersed in the world of dance and the creative arts. When she found herself on a whim in her first yoga class in 2001, the practice immediately struck a chord deep within her and she quickly grew to love the connection and ease she felt in her body and the sense of calm in her mind that yoga gave her. 

Carina completed her Yoga Alliance RYT - 200 HR certification in Alignment Based Hatha Yoga at Three Queens Yoga, where she studied with Mariel Freeman and Alex Holmes. Carina went on to complete her Yoga Alliance RYT - 500 HR certification through Three Queens Yoga in August of 2018. Carina sees yoga as a daily practice done both on and off the mat and a powerful tool for self- inquiry, self-awareness and personal empowerment in the journey towards health and well-being of the whole person, mind, body and spirit.

My passion for fitness began over 20 years ago, after staying home with my first son and realizing I needed time for myself! I began taking yoga classes once a week to add to my fitness routine. At first, it was solely for the physical practice but I slowly began to realize it was so much more. In 2014, I found healing on my mat as I struggled with a devastating health diagnosis. During treatment I put all other fitness routines on hold and solely came to my mat. It was at this time that I realized just how much more yoga was than a physical practice. I found peace and comfort on my mat while still being challenged. I realized the time spent on my mat brought strength, calmness and helped clear my mind. I knew I wanted to deepen my practice and share this with others
This class marries the best of a flow or vinyasa based practice with a deeper exploration and understanding of alignment and the body. This dynamic mixed-level practice ties traditional Hatha based poses together in a flow style class with several breaths per pose. A great class to learn and explore the biomechanics and actions within a pose while you move with breath.
 
Each class offers a unique and thoughtful sequence and often incorporates props into the flow. This practice will cultivate strength, flexibility, integrity and sustainability within the body and calmness and equanimity of the mind
