200 YTT & AERIAL YOGA INSTRUCTOR
 
Alyssa first began the practice of yoga several years ago when her mom suggested she should try it for stress reduction. For her, yoga has become a way to unplug and become more in tune with herself. Although Alyssa loved her mat practice, she began looking for something different. When she first heard about aerial yoga, Alyssa thought it sounded fun and sure enough, it was love at first inversion! She has been practicing aerial for over three years and completed Level One Aerial Yoga Teacher Training at Transcend Wellness and Yoga. More recently, Alyssa received her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate at Stillpoint Studios. She likes to bring a fun, light-hearted approach to her classes while still focusing on proper alignment and breath. She hopes that her students will also uncover the many benefits of yoga for themselves.

Chris Somers has worked in the fitness and wellness industry for the past 28 years. She has worked as the General Manager and Director of Marketing for several privately owned facilities. She has also owned and operated her own Marketing firm. It was her dream to be able to open her own studio and offer the community the services and programs that she is passionate about.

In 2001 she was drawn to yoga for the physical benefits. She quickly realized that the more frequently she made it to her mat, the better prepared her mind and body became at responding to the challenges of daily life. Yoga has taught her about what balance means on and off the mat. Her hope is to help others discover or re-discover these wonderful benefits. Helping everyone feel a bit more connected, empowered, and energized. The offerings at Purenergy are designed to engage and reward each person, young or old, beginner or advanced.

A full body stretch using the Aerial Hammocks, a must for those who need to increase flexibility and agility. Hammocks are low to the ground, using the support of the hammock and the floor for deep yummy stretches!
