HEALTHY FEET with Nikki Blagden Sun, Apr 30, 2017 at 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Did you know that your feet each contain over 33 joints, 100+ tendons, ligaments and muscles, and 100,000-200,000 nerve endings? Or that our feet have the potential to be as dextrous and functional as your hands? Barefoot work improves balance, strength and stability throughout the body. Most of us have spent the majority of our lives in traditional shoes, which considerably limits the movement of the foot and it’s ability to function the way it was intended, affecting the rest of our body. Yes, it really is all connected! If you experience plantar fasciitis, bunions, neuropathy, neuromas, hammertoes, wear orthotics, or simply want to learn how to safely transition to minimalist shoes, this Restorative Exercise workshop is for you! We’ll explore exercises and stretches to mobilize the feet and lower legs, and learn about specific things to look for in footwear as you begin to open up your feet.

This enrollment runs from Wed May 3, 2017 - Wed May 24, 2017
This 4-week series is an Intro to Yoga entirely based around the teenage population. It’s 2017, and teens rarely get a break. Yoga can be that break. In just four short weeks they can learn to de-stress, disconnect and bring themselves back into the present. During class they will learn not only the physical practice of yoga and an Intro to Mediation, but how to find that calm and apply it off the mat and in real life as well in ways that apply to them. For ages 12-16

Reiki Level 1 Training with Caitlin Kelly Sun, Jun 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The 5 Reiki Principles Just for today....
I will live with Gratitude
I will not worry
I will do my work honestly
I will not anger
I will show love and respect for every living thing
Reiki is hands on healing technique in which energy is moved from practitioner to receiver in a way that allows for deep relaxation, clearning of the chakras, and facilitation of the removal of blockages in the body.
In Reiki 1, you will learn the history of Reiki, how to tap into your own Reiki energy, and how to give Reiki to friends, families and animals. After completing Level 1, you'll have the opportunity to continue learning and pursue a Reiki Master certification!
This training will be led by Caitlin Kelly. Caitlin is a Philadelphia based Yoga teacher and Reiki master. Caitlin found yoga at a young age after being introduced to it by her mother, and has been drawn to learning and deepening her practice ever since. Caitlin is an elementary school Health and Physical Education teacher, so learning and teaching are the roots to Caitlin's practice. Caitlin strives to create a loving and safe space for all of her students, whether it is their first time on the mat, or they have been practicing for 20 years. Caitlin's classes are lighthearted and dynamic, and are rooted in the philosophy of Yin and Yang. Having a healthy balance of energy and movement with stillness and calm is the key to remaining steady and balanced on and off the mat, for deepening the connection of mind and body, and creating space for healing.
