Stephanie Smith

Stephanie has always enjoyed teaching: beginning as an aerobics instructor in college, to a middle school English teacher after college, to a rowing instructor after having children. While pursuing many different career paths, Stephanie was ultimately led back fitness instruction where she currently enjoys teaching a variety of classes to multiple fitness levels. She loves to motivate others to become healthy and strong and wants her classes to be accessible to all fitness levels. Stephanie believes it’s important to keep the body guessing, so she strives to keep her classes fresh and new so participants stay challenged, achieve their absolute best, and are never bored. Stephanie’s goal is to keep you moving throughout every class – with a little bit of fun, of course! In order to expand her personal education and goals, she continues to actively pursue additional fitness certifications as well. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys volunteering at her children’s schools, plus lots of outdoor activities and fishing with her family. Stephanie holds a Bachelors Degree in English and French from Ursinus College, and currently resides in Devon with her husband and two children.

Jackie Maloney

Yoga & Aerial Yoga Instructor
 
Her proclaimed mission in life is to help others and to make them feel good in all possible aspects. She began her yoga journey at the age of 11 when she was put in yoga as a means to handle childhood anxiety. It was after learning how healing yoga can be that she realized that it was mainly through yoga that she could create her purpose in life and bring health and love to her communities.
 
Always eager to bring more to her classes she regularly looks to further her education and have fun doing so. Her journey has brought her here where she is very excited to be part of the team and community!

Karen Gartner Gartner

BARRE INSTRUCTOR
 
AFAA and Barre certified, Karen has extensive dance/ballet experience.   Karen leads her students on a journey towards the physical and mental benefits of exercise. Creating a comfortable, fun, relaxed yet challenging class, she helps each of her students reach beyond their expectations and hopes they will be rewarded by the changes they experience in their lives.

Sarah Kim Vennard

Sarah Kim Vennard was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in upstate New York. She has love of biology, dance, and fitness. She trained at the NYSSSA, Albany Dance Institute, and the University of the Arts. Her company experience includes the Berkshire Ballet, EBA Dance Company, and the Penn Dance Company. She is a former Board Member for Dance and the Child International and a current member of the National Dance Educators Organization. She is founder and Artistic Director of Nova Dance Company and certified by American Ballet Theatre to teach their national curriculum. Combining her love of dance, Pilates, and yoga, she completed certification through Exhale to teach Barre fitness. SK is a former member of the dance faculty at University of Delaware and currently teaches company classes at Studio 180 and Purenergy Fitness Studio.
A classical approach to Barre training emphasizing upper body training sculpting with light weights, with thigh, seat & core sculpting. Barre emphasizes barefoot training(no shoes), but toe sox are highly recommended for support and grip in Barre classes.
 
Buff Barre is a full body workout designed to give you a defined core, toned legs and buttocks, sculpted arms incorporating a fresh approach to Barre training in every class. This yoga, pilates and ballet inspired class focuses on isolated exercises, alignment, flexibility and posture. Each section of strengthening exercises is followed by a deep stretch to create a long, lean look and increased range of motion. Motivating music and an elite, expert instructor staff will guide you through a total body workout that focuses on strengthening and lengthening every muscle group.
